MONTGOMERY CO., Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Conrad Davis said he was sorry this morning as a judge handed down a 15-year jail sentence inside a Montgomery County Courtroom.

Davis was involved in a deadly police shooting that killed his girlfriend, Ashley Sides on Halloween night, 2016 at a Speedway gas station. After Sides was shot, Davis left the scene and hid inside a camper nearby where police found him in the early morning hours.

Davis pleaded guilty in January to involuntary manslaughter, felonious assault on a peace officer, causing serious physical harm and felonious assault on a peace officer, using a deadly weapon. Earlier this month information was released from a sentencing memorandum from Davis' attorney. According to the sentencing memorandum, Officers Graci and Edds made statements that Davis showed a gun, it was also believed that Sides was also armed with a gun. It turned out the object officers saw was a black cloth pouch and a cellphone.
