Huber Heights City Council approves ban of medical marijuana
HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - The mayor of Huber Heights made the deciding vote for a ban of medical marijuana within the city Monday night.
Residents packed the room to share their thoughts on the issue before the City Councilmembers put it to a vote. They were split 4-4, so the mayor cast the vote to break the tie, approving the ban.
The ordinance bans all cultivation, processing and dispensing of medical marijuana. Originally the council had voted for a moratorium, which was set to expire on January 20.
