Luke Kennard partners with Premier Health to host a camp for children
DAYTON, Ohio (WRGT/WKEF) - Professional basketball player and Franklin High School graduate Luke Kennard has returned home with a partnership with Premier Health to give back to boys and girls in his hometown community.
“Not only are the campers going to learn a lot of basketball skills and lessons from the coaches and me personally, they are going to learn life lessons I’ve experience as a basketball player as well,” said Kennard.
Win The Next One Director Brian Bales said that the camp can accommodate as many as 200 children for two nights and three days. Kennard and WTNO coaches will offer hands-on experience, games and contests for boys and girls in fourth through seventh grade. Top high school basketball coaches and Premier Health athletic trainers will also be at the overnight camp along with Kennard to help teach campers.
“Southwest Ohio has a special place in Luke's heart and he is looking forward to helping run his first camp back home. It will be a fun-filled weekend of basketball and life lessons,” Bales said.
