SPRINGFIELD , Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - The father of a young woman killed in a Springfield murder-suicide spoke out to FOX 45 Thursday.

Police said Eric Sirons shot his wife and step daughter before turning the gun on himself.

Randy Heiser has cried a lot the last two days. He said his daughter Andrea Heiser and her stepfather didn't get along because Andrea stuck up for her mother.

Now, mom and daughter are gone, and Heiser is dealing with a devastating loss.

"Just so senseless," he said.

His ex-wife Jennifer Sirons and their daughter 21-year-old Andrea Heiser were killed in the shooting.

"Man, what a great kid," Heiser said.

Andrea was the oldest of his and Jennifer Siron's four daughters.

"Outgoing, loved everybody," he said. "Somebody you wanted to be around. Almost too perfect."

Police said Andrea's stepfather and Jennifer Siron's estranged husband Eric Sirons pulled the trigger Tuesday night.

"Pulled the gun out, he said, 'It's just a pellet gun' and started laughing and shot my daughter," Heiser said, and then started laughing hysterically and then shot my ex-wife. I never thought anything like this would happen, but I always knew there was something different about him."

Heiser's other daughters were in the home. The youngest saw the whole thing.

"Laughed about it," he said. "That's what's killing me. I just heard that today."

Heiser said his other three daughters are staying with an aunt and uncle, and they never want to come back to the house again.

"I just thank God I've still got three of them left," Heiser said.

He said Andrea and her mom were best friends and Jennifer was a great mother.

"She raised them all so good and I haven't been the best father in the last 10 years, to be honest with you," he said.

Heiser cherishes the last time he saw Andrea earlier this week.

"The last thing I said to her when I got out the car was 'I love you'. She said 'I love you dad'. Hold your loved ones tight, about all I can tell you. You never think something's going to happen to your family like this, but it can happen," Heiser said.
