Drug take back event this weekend

DAYTON (WKEF/WRGT) -- On Saturday, April 29 the Dayton Police Department is giving residents the opportunity to safely dispose of any potentially dangerous, expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs. It's part of the (DEA) Drug Enforcement Administration's National Drug Take Back Day. If you have any medications you would like to dispose of, visit any of the following locations Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Dayton Police Headquarters - 335 W. Third St. - Central Patrol Operations Division - 248 Salem Ave. - East Patrol Operation Division North - 417 E. Helena St. - East Patrol Operations Division South - 2721 Wayne Ave. - West Patrol Operations Division - 951 Washington St.Liquids, needles and other sharp objects will not be accepted. Pills and patches are acceptable. The drop off is free and anonymous. If you can't make it this weekend, each of the five sites have a drop off box available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
