DP&L to bring in extra crews to help with winter weather response
MIAMI VALLEY, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - As everyone in the Miami Valley keeps a wary eye on the winter weather approaching this weekend, Dayton Power and Light is emphasizing how important safety is.
The models are changing for the storm, but FOX 45 Chief Meteorologist said by noon on Friday, the northwest should start to see ice, and then into afternoon for Dayton and Springfield.
Director of Corporate Communications Mary Ann Kabel said they will be fully staffed over the weekend, and will bring in extra crews to make sure they're ready for any outages that may hit the area.
She emphasized that everyone should be safe if they're heading out, particularly with the ice hitting the area, and that people should take advantage of the weather on Thursday to put together a winter weather kit.
If you do experience an outage at any point over the weekend, you can check to see if it's widespread in your area here, or report it at your address by going to this website.
