DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Dayton officials said the police department will be putting on a sobriety checkpoint Friday night in two locations.

DPD officers will operate the checkpoint along with members of the Combined Agency OVI Task Force of Montgomery County beginning at 8 p.m. near the intersection of North Main and Hillcrest, followed by the area of Salem at Hillcrest.

The goal of the task force is to lower the number of alcohol/drug related traffic crashes, injuries and fatalities in Dayton and Montgomery County.
