Crews expected to remain on scene of train car fire for some time
DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Fire crews told FOX 45 they expect to be on Wagner Ford Road for quite a while after a materials inside a train car caught fire.
Dayton Fire Chief Jeffrey L. Payne said he believes the materials inside that sparked the flames were metallic because they were rusty. Crews will remain on scene to fill the car with water, drain it, fill it again and repeat the process until they can get it knocked down.
The fire was also not a hazard to anything around it, according to the chief.
