Beavercreek Police Department asking for your help catching a burglar
WALL OF JUSTICE: The Beavercreek Police Department is searching for a burglar and asking for your help in finding him.
“The homeowner was asleep,” Beavercreek Detective John Bondy said. “Unknown persons came into their house in the middle of the night and removed a purse from their residence.”
One of the items inside the purse was a credit card, which the suspect has reportedly gone on to use at several locations in the Dayton area.
“Some fast food, cartons of cigarettes, some clothing items from a Walmart,” Bondy said.
Police believe the man has acted alone.
“We have the same suspect on video at every location that these credit cards were used,” Bondy said.
One video in particular allowed police to catch a break.
“Luckily for us, he entered one of the gas stations without his knit cap on,” Bondy said. “The suspect appears to be a white male, he completely bald. Appears to have a diamond stud in his ears.”
Police also have video of the car he was driving, which is a silver Chevy Impala with slight damage on the front passenger side. They’re hoping between the car and the surveillance video, you can help bring him to justice.
“We definitely want to get this guy off the streets,” Bondy said. “We want him questioned and prosecuted.”
If you have any information about who the man in the surveillance video may be, you’re asked to call Crime Stoppers at 222-STOP or the Beavercreek Police Department tip line at 320-7393.
