1 victim in Auglaize Co. double shooting has died
AUGLAIZE COUNTY, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - One of the victims of a double shooting in Auglaize County earlier this month has died. The sheriff's office released new information Tuesday that Dexter Lee Turner, 47, died earlier this morning at St. Rita's medical center.
An autopsy will now be done by the coroner's office.
Deputies, detectives and Ohio BCI are still investigating the shooting that happened April 11. Sheriff Allen Solomon released a statement saying,"Now that the case is a homicide it doesn't really change the way we have been investigating the case. It was a serious case to begin with and was being treated that way and now it has become even more serious".
The shooting happened Wednesday morning, April 11, at a condominium on the south side of Grand Lake St. Marys. Investigators say one of the victims lives at the condo. The other victim was identified as Alim Amir Turner, 25. His condition has not been updated. No arrests have been made, Sheriff Allen Solomon said his office is working alongside Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation on the case. They are now working to come up with suspects and answers.
